I made this page to try and help others see a step by step install of a TNT kit. I have the dry F1 kit, but the wet install is very similiar to this. Why did I go dry? Well, simply because I am just running a 100 shot and plus the dry is very easy to hook up and take off. I haven't timed myself but I can take off this whole kit without a trace in about 5-8 minutes. I would estimate it took me around 2-3 hours installing hardware not knowing anything about N20. The directions are very nicely written from TNT. This page may not be perfect, so go easy on me. Oh, and I am not responsible for any mistakes that may occur from reading this. Do at your own risk;)
Bottle install:
Before mounting your bottle please install the pressure gauge onto the bottle. Make sure it will be viewable so it should be facing the driver's side of the car. You may need to use a wrench and tighten only till its in view.
Well, after looking I decided that the only suitable place was on the tire well. Though TNT says postion bottle at a 35degree angle this location will work fine. In your kit you will notice 2 brackets to hold the bottle. Place these on the bottle and positon into wheel well. I used a marker and marked the holes onto the well. After drilling the 4 holes tighten the clamps into place. Then make sure the bottle fits into place. *Should look like the below pictures*
After installing bottle you will need to place the NHRA blow down tube on. I lined mine up by eye and marked the hole to drill. Mine exits above the tire from the outside. Dont be afriad to drill cause once everything is in place it will look fine. Then place the rubber o ring in place between outside and inside car. I didn't bother putting mine in since I am not a picky person. *See below picture*
I ran my line inside the car. I removed the drivers side rear quarter panel and ran mine line down the side of car. Doing this takes a little time since you have to remove the bottom strip panel beside seat. You will need a screw driver to remove the screws. Work your way up to the front floor board.
Behind brake pedal in firewall you will notice a hole in which a few wires may exit into engine bay. I took my drill and drilled a hole right beside that just big enough that the n2o line could exit. Be sure not to hit any other lines will drilling and check the exit area for lines or other metal parts that cant be touched! *See below picture*
Next you need to determine where you are going to mount the jets into the airlid. I liked the look of them coming/attaching from the rear angle of the air lid. It's best to get a marker and mark the holes before you drill. *Note: Make sure the lines will reach the jets in the airlid, since you may have to adjust the n2o noid to get them to attach flush. After you determine where you want jets/holes to go it's best to remove the airlid. *See below picture*
I used a drill bit that was a tad smaller than the jets, then used a socket wrench to screw them into lid. Then I made sure the jets were positioned to blow into airlid. *Note: you do not want to aim jets directly towards the MAF!!* Then install airlid back onto car. *See below picture*
Once on car all you need to do is hook up the jet lines to the jets themselves(you can put the 75-150 ones in there at anytime, I left mine out untill i decide to spray). *See below pictures*
Window Switch:
I mounted my window switch on the drivers side wheel well. Since its easily attained here. Also, I mounted my relay switch right beside it. It's necessery to drill a few small holes so the screws go into the wheel well easily. In the below pictures i have the lines already run but its just a example of the mounting position for relay and window switch. *See below picture*
After mounting window switch you will notice that some wires hang from it. Now, you need to ground the black wire. Run the red wire to battery or 12volt source. I used the 12volt connector right in front of window switch. Has a red cover over it. Just unscrew the screw there and mount the lines to it. The white line goes to the tach wire from computer ( Use this chart to find PIN). For your model year please sub that in place of the 1998 in webpage address! *NOTICE* The yellow wire connects to the pin85 on the relay!! You need to ground the n2o noid to the same grounding as the others. But the yellow wire does not connect to the n2o noid. The relay does not need to be grounded. TNT has a little error on there install sheet!
Relay switch:
On the relay switch basically just follow directions. All you need to do is run connect the extra lines to the terminals on the relay. *See below picture*
Activation Switch:
On the activation switch included with kit there are 3 terminals. One for ground, one for micro switch, and one for iginition. Just simply run any wire other than black wire from the micro switch to activation switch. Use the black wire for the ground (grounding mine to same ground as window switch). For the iginition wire I removed the panel under steering wheel. Then I ran a red wire from switch to fuse panel. Use the supplied connector and find a open fuse slot. I found a open slot towards the bottom right and connected there. *See below picture*
Purge switch:
For this I had to use extra line. Just use any of the blue wires on purge noid and run through firewall. Simply connect to purge switch. Then run a ground wire from switch to ground(anywhere of choice). *See Below picture for how I have my switches installed. I got custom rocker switches from a marine store for 8bucks each and mounted them on a convertible plate*
When finished installing wires and hardware the engine bay should look like this. Well I like it;)
