Eglise du Dome
The Eglise du Dome of Les Invalides was commissioned by Louis XIV and was built from 1677-1735.  This is where you can find Napoleon's tomb.  You have to view the tomb from a balcony so that you are bowing your head to him!  I found the gold dome beautiful, it certainly stands out from a distance.
The beautiful Pont Alexandre III leads on to the Eglise du Dome as you can see from the above picture.  The area due south of the pont is known as the Esplanade des Invalides.  This bridge is my favourite of Parisian bridges, it was named after the Tsar of Russia who laid the foundation stone in 1896.
