Fish fish fish! I got a fish. Yesterday. It's a beta, red with blue streaks and white fins. Very pretty. It's currently residing in a vase I found in the mudroom. I knew a woman who kept hers in big wine goblets on her mantlepiece - it was a very cool effect. Big chunks of rock crystal and plants and candles and Christmas cards and fish in wine goblets. But betas were bred in the rice paddies of China, so they don't really mind being in small spaces. If your ancestors lived in puddles, a vase must seem very nice.

I've spent the morning making French toast and putting clear nail polish on the hole in the knee of my jeans so it doesn't get any larger. And making graphics for this journal.

At the Moment...

Weather: grey. unfortunately
Eating: A good sandwich. For me, the perfect sandwich is hummus and lettuce and tomatoes and mustard on whole wheat. Unfortunately, when I have hummus in the house I usually eat it straight so as not to waste any of it. So the only place I eat my ideal sandwich is at Morris ales. But I've substituted cheddar for the hummus, and the sandwich I'm eating now is, as previously stated, good.
Wearing: ugly clothes I only wear when everything else is on the wash. One can tell I'm about to do laundry when this particular skirt comes out.
Listening to: a Judy Collins tape that used to me my mom's. I found it the other day under the VCR and I like it.
