It's spring. The equinox was Tuesday and the flowers have been up for weeks. It's a nice feeling. My favorites are the cherry trees. The first thing I'm going to do when I get my own house is plant cherry trees and those pink magnolias and croci and snowdrops so they'll be big and nice as soon as possible. Any flower that blooms so early is worth fifty that bloom in June. But fifty snowdrops are certainly worth one rose, so I'll also plant roses. I can just picture the neighbors peering over their back fences..."That crazy new lady, she hasn't even unpacked and she's planting trees?"

We sign up for classes tomorrow. I'm going to be a junior. Wow. I'm taking AP Literature, US History, Art II, Algebra II, Chemistry, French II, Russian I, and Spanish IV. Russian should be fun. I was going to take Japanese, but apparently you learn nothing in the class. "If you want to sit there and make origami it's great," said Bridget. "On the other hand, if you want to learn a language, take Russian." And this is amazing coming from Bridget because she's obsessed with Japan.

At the Moment...
Eating: milk and Tagalong girl scout cookies
Wearing: black pants and teeshirt. Stage black. I'm on the costume crew for the school production of 1984, which is going to be very cool. I love wearing stage black because I very literally never wear black except for concerts and being on the tech crew of plays. It's such a feeling of mystery and power during the three or four times a year I wear it.
