Eagle w/Team Image

The Tear
In loving memory of those who perished.

We’ve seen the picture of the eagle crying,
A tear drops from its eye;
It saw a sight that broke its heart,
So many people died.
The fact was just too hard to bear,
How could it truly be?
Two mighty towers crumbling down,
Was something no one should see.
And as the people hurried out,
Those heroes rushed inside;
To rescue those who could not help themselves
In our hearts, they now reside.
Yet with another structure hit,
The world seemed to stand still.
Our hopes and strength were ripped away
With faith, their places we’ll fill.
Heads in prayer, we’ve stopped to bend;
As flags from many nations fly.
When peace returns, its rule to resume
No tears will shine in an eagle’s eye.
