All of a sudden, you realise that you are once again in
second-person mode. You wonder why for a moment, then realisation dawns as
you hear laughter and look up to see two angel boys…or teenagers, by the looks
of them. The more
boisterous one of the two, with dark, slightly messy hair and purple pjs,
seems to be teasing the other, a stern-looking fellow with dark blue hair in
a ponytail, and grey eyes behind a pair of spectacles…looking, at the moment,
rather embarrassed. “Yamete,
You-kun!” He protests vainly over the other’s laughter. The afore-mentioned
You-kun seems only to be more amused. “Ne, ne!
You’re kawaii when you’re embarrassed, Tsuki-chan!” “YOU-HI!!!” “Sou,
sou…I’ll stop, Tsuki.” “That’s
more like it.” “…But you’re kawaii when you’re mad too.” And it
starts all over again. They seem to be so engrossed in their little fight
that they don’t even notice you. “They’re
always like that.” You nearly
have a heart-attack as Djinn suddenly appears behind you. You turn and find
her smiling lightly, eyes on the angel boys. “Want to
know how we got them?” You shrug
and consent. “Some time ago, Duo introduced three unnamed angel boys into the CAOF. You-kun was one of them, along with a small kawaii kind and a bishounen kind. They were beautiful, and truly admirable, but none of them were my type. I said as much, not meaning anything at all by the remark, but Duo-san actually offered to do a special angel boy as my birthday present. I didn’t know what to say, but it wasn’t something that could be passed up. Nervously, I gave a brief description of a ‘bespectacled shy/stern thing with longish dark blue hair in a ponytail and grey eyes’. A while later, she presented me with Tsuki-chan. I fell in love with him at first sight, of course.” She pauses, smiling at the memory, then continues. “I didn’t really mean to take You-kun, but I didn’t want Tsuki-chan to be lonely…besides, he was perfect.” She smiles somewhat sinisterly, but offers no explanation. You feel slightly uneasy. “It took me a long time to name them, but as soon as I chanced upon it, I knew it was right. Tsuki-yo and You-hi, meaning, literally, moon-night and sun-day. They’re complete opposites, you know. Tsuki-chan’s shy and very disciplined, he doesn’t care much for company except for You-kun’s. You-kun’s…just You-kun. But they wouldn’t have anyone else in the world.” You glance at the still arguing angel boys and decide to keep you thoughts to yourself. Abruptly, she stops, saying, “Maa. Look at the time, I forget myself sometimes. I’ll leave you now…and yes,” she adds, smiling, “you can say I’m a sentimental fool.” True to her word, she leaves, and it is as if she had never been there. You shake your head, and with one last look at the angel boys, you leave too.
