Johnny the Homicidal Maniac is a comic about a guy named Johnny (Nny for short). He kills people a lot. Emphasis on "a lot". He resides in number 777 but, although he claims to be alone, he's really not. He has his voices in his head. There's Mr. Fuck (a.k.a. Mr. Eff), Psychodoughboy (a.k.a. D-Boy), Nailbunny, and (later on) a talking Bub's Burger Boy. But there's another member of the household: Moose, a monster who eats blood from behind a wall in the house. Johnny mainly kills people to paint this wall but later on decides to take charge of his own life and stop doing it, and if I keep going on I'll ruin what is basically understood to be the plot. There's a lot more to Johnny than meets the eye, but I can't say all of it here. Go out and buy the books! You definitely wouldn't regret it. But in the meantime, here's a nice little animated GIF someone has made that has been circling the Internet that explains the whole thing.

Johnny and all his loveable friends are the brain children of comic book artist Jhonen Vasquez who grew up in San Jose. He does other works such as Squee!, I Feel Sick, and even the short-lived show on Nickelodeon, Invader ZIM. Lately he's been branching off and doing other works like short comic stories for other books and newspapers and even music videos. But don't feel that branching off from JTHM will leave you empty in the fucked up wackiness department. They're all worth a look. Yes, even the Nick show.
