A message from the Minister - Rev John Midgley
, MA, MEd, BD

“I regard it as a great privilege and also an enormous challenge to be minister of Cross Street Chapel at this exciting point in its history. The decision to rebuild our Chapel was a start of a great adventure into modern Unitarianism. To those who share our vision and our approach towards what a modern liberal religion can become, we invite you to join us in the adventure. The heart of what we do is our worship together. Our Sunday services convey a broad spectrum of ideas and experiences – rooted in our past, relevant to the present and looking towards our future growth.

“As well as worship, there are opportunities for learning and sharing. Religious experience is not static. It is a process of continuous learning and growing. We are as interested in what you might bring out of your experience as in what we can offer from our Unitarian heritage. We also offer a friendly welcome and a supportive and caring community to belong to.

“If you feel that Unitarianism, as a religious way of life, might be for you – come along and give us a try. I look forward to welcoming you.”
