Treasure Box Review

Back to Site List | Site Review | Treasure Box Game List | Treasure Box Manuals List | Treasure Box - THE SITE!!!

The site has been redesigned and now looks great in 800x600. It's still easy to navigate and looks better. The new design is a great improvement over the previous. The logo on the top is very nice and the layout is now based on using various cells to place the different parts of the site. Overall a nicely layed out site.

The content of the site makes it shine in comparison to other abandonware sites. There are 2 screenshots, a fact sheet, a download, and a very lengthy review for each game. The reviews actually tell you about the game and its quality as opposed to some reviews you see on abandonware sites nowaday ("great action game" for example). There are spelling and grammar errors but if you can get beyond that, the reviews are personal, yet not too personal and descriptive.

There is more to the site than the games. In the about section, he introduces himself, his character which is within each review and tells about the site and how it was made and what the rating system means. There is also a reviews section for those old games he can't put for download as abandonware but are great classics he simply HAS to share with you his experience with them ;) The links page features screenshots and paragraph descriptions of the sites he links to. There is a guestbook and a forum, both average. Overall the extras add nicely to the site

As the lucky seventh site on TACT, it ranks right up there on the top. Totally awesome reviews show that this young webmaster is dedicated. Well, while I don't know the webmaster as well as those of the other sites on The ACT, I would like to get to know him better, but then again, he seems very busy with his site. One word (or is it?): Kickass.
