I found an interesting web site which explains the meaning behind names. I was shocked to discover they have most of the vampire's names there! It may not be an accurate meaning but why not look anyway, if only for fun.

I found this animation which was entitled 'Druid Priest' so I thought I would share it with everyone. It may not an accurate representation of a Druid but I think it's rather interesting. Surely the gloves are wrong!

- My opinion of Mael -
Mael is a very interesting character who Anne Rice has neglected a bit too much. Is he dead or not I keep thinking? I hope not and I doubt it. I believe it is possible he will be in the new novel Blood and Gold since it is Marius' story and he knew Mael. Many people myself among them were hoping he would appear in 'The Vampire Armand' but he did not. My only complaint about Mael is his reaction to Khayman during Lestat's concert. Poor Khayman ):
'Khayman turned and embraced Mael, and smiled at him. But this merely frightened Mael, and Khayman felt the disappointment heavily. Politely, he stepped away. For a moment he was painfully confused.'

You see what I mean! I forgive Mael of course...

Mael will appear and will be played by Christian Manon. I know little about this actor so I cannot comment.
