| - Summary on back cover - Lasher, charismatic, seductive daemon of Anne Rice's mesmerizing novel The Witching Hour, returns to New Orleans and to the powerful Mayfair family. Yearning to be made flesh, he chooses as his unwilling accomplice the gifted Rowan Mayfair - the thirteenth of the Mayfair witches. Spellbound, she is drawn into his manic odyssey of mysticism and terror, at last giving birth to their daughter, the beautiful Emaleth. Hunted by the Mayfair clan and the mysterious Talamasca, and driven by the need to realize his terrifying vision of the future, Lasher is lured back to New Orleans. But by bringing him into their midst, and attempting to harness his daemonic energy, the family risks unleashing the full force of Lasher's destructive powers... - My opinion - I enjoyed this book a lot however my favourite in the trilogy is the previous novel - the Witching Hour. I loved the fact that Julien features again, his relationship with Evelyn was a little strange though due to the huge age difference. If Lasher is your favourite novel vote for it. |
