I found an interesting web site which explains the meaning behind names. I was shocked to discover they have most of the vampire's names there! It may not be an accurate meaning but why not look anyway, if only for fun.

- My opinion of Eric -
I'm sure Eric would be an interesting character if we knew more about him! I guess Anne forgot about him or something. Well I haven't! What I can't figure out is why he was so afraid of Akasha. He was Maharet's child after all, perhaps that's the reason. I found it interesting that Anne described him as being 'bleached' by the centuries. Bleached??
