| I found an interesting web site which explains the meaning behind names. I was shocked to discover they have most of the vampire's names there! It may not be an accurate meaning but why not look anyway, if only for fun. Click here for the meaning of the name Celeste. Here is the meaning from the Virgin book of baby names by Emily Wood. This is likely to be accurate and more relevant. ~ Celeste ~ A French name based on the Latin meaning 'heavenly', which made it particularly popular amongst early Christians. |

| - My opinion of Celeste - I can't say I have one really as she didn't have a prominent part. She didn't seem to show much of her own personality instead, simply following the rest of the Paris coven. Ah well she existed so she is here. Please note I think Famke Janssen would make an excellent Akasha. - Status of Celeste in the film Interview with the Vampire - Celeste didn't appear in the film. |
