Prism of the Night by Katharine Ramsland
The official biography of Anne Rice, this contains all the information you'd ever want to know about her life.  It has an extensive pictures section.  It also has sections on her major works, and an analysis of them.  Recommended and it really is an essential for any Anne Rice fan.
Conversations with Anne Rice by Michael Riley
In this book Anne is interviewed by her long time friend Michael Riley.  The book covers a range of subjects both her life and her work.
Anne Rice a Critical Companion by Jennifer Smith
An analysis of her work with chapters on each of her vampire, witch and other novels.  The book covers the period up until the release of Memnoch the Devil.  The study also contains a biographical chapter and one which discusses her use of the supernatural, horror and fantasy genres.
The Gothic World of Anne Rice by Gary Hoppenstand
This book contains a series of scholary essays about Anne Rice's work.  They make many interesting points and state that Rice's vampire novels contain searches for philosophical truth, examine themes of good and evil, humanism, science and mythos.
The Vampire Companion by Katharine Ramsland
This is an excellent book and I would highly recommend it to fans of the Vampire Chronicles.  It is basically an A-Z guide to the Chronicles.  Every character and book is analysed in great depth and you'll certainly find out things you never considered before here.
The Witches' Companion by Katharine Ramsland
The Mayfair Witches trilogy contains so many characters and details the family tree so precisely that this guide is a very useful book.  It is written in the same style as the Vampire Companion.
Anne Rice Checkerbee Checklist
A very inexpensive guide to Anne Rice novels, with a short review on each of them and an Anne Rice biography.
The Anne Rice Reader by Katharine Ramsland
This book contains a series of essays written about Rice's work.  It also features two of her previously unseen short stories.
The Unauthorised Anne Rice Companion by George Beahm
This excellent book is packed full of information.  It contains many hard to find interviews which made including a famous one which appeared in Playboy (yes that's right) in the seventies.  Very interesting read...
Haunted City by Joy Dickinson
The full title is Haunted City, an unauthorised guide to the magical, magnificent New Orleans of Anne Rice.   This sums it up rather well.  It would prove very useful for any Anne Rice fans planning a trip to New Orleans (and let's face it, there are many of us who are doing this).
