Reasons why we love Khayman
We hope after reading this you will
decide to join. If you doubt anything you have read here,
we suggest you read the Queen of the Damned again. Everything here relates
to the book, we have not made anything up. Yes, Khayman really is this
special! Do you have your own reason for your admiration of Khayman, which
is not listed here? If so feel free to e-mail
us and we will add it. Members are always encouraged to give their reasons for their admiration of Khayman when they join.
1. He remains optimistic in spite of
all the terrible things, which have happened to him.
2. He is a genuine, kind person.
3. He is friendly to everyone.
4. However if you cross him or offend
him the chances are he'll kill you in the most violent manner possible,
breaking your bones and sucking out the marrow!
5. Don't worry; he does not kill mortals
who are kind to him. I think we are safe!
6. He writes poetry, shares this with
people and invites them to his flat.
7. Imagine the conversations you could
have with him about history! He may not have been conscious the entire
time but still, he has experienced so much and there is no doubt he has
learned a lot and is very wise.
8. He is extremely powerful but he
does not feel the need to show this off.
9. He helps the twins but does not
ask anything from them in return.
10. He firmly believes in Mekare's
prophecy even when few people agree with him and of course, he is right.
11. During the final meeting at the
Sonoma compound when Akasha is trying to convince the others to join her,
he says nothing. Obviously he felt there was no need to, he knew all along
what was going to happen.
12. His descriptions of loneliness
are something most people have experienced at some point or another. Even
though he is immortal, he describes them with such feeling.
13. He is in some ways a contradiction.
He is extremely powerful, wise, kind and yet still lonely.
14. Being the leader of the Egyptian
army indicates he must have killed many people but still he remains kind
and gentle.
15. Of course in situations of war
everyone must behave in a violent fashion yet he did not let this change
his personality.
16. He is true to himself and does
not put on an act. He is genuinely a kind person; he has no reason to act
otherwise.
17. He does not enjoy the suffering
of others, which is one of the reasons why he helped the twins.
18. Even though the twins are not from
his people, he does not notice this. Obviously such differences are irrelevant
to him.
19. There is so much we don't know
about him, which makes him fascinating.
20. On a superficial level, he is very
attractive to look at!
21. I like the fact that he is so fascinated with the world around him, his vitality and his famous smile.

25. He is the most friendly and loneliest of the vampires who screams to be loved.
(submitted by Black Cat)
26. I love Khayman because he feels bad for what he has done. He is actually very considerate, and probably feels harder and worse than Louis... (bless his
overdramatic soul, jk). But Khayman has also lived so long and seen so many things and he doesn't waste that information. Plus, he genuinely loves humans.

30. The love and care he gave to the twins, justifies the task that was put before him by Enkil. The wonderful gift he gave Maharet, Miriam, was a great way for Maharet to connect with the world of this time and the wonderful compassion of Khayman is definitely passed through the ages even in Jessica. 72. I am loyal and I will always be loyal to him. (submitted by Kryztofer)
73. It's absolutely impossible to not love this vampire. He's so mysterious that you feel a need to continue reading about him, and then there's nothing left to read, you yearn for more. I believe David should corner him and make him tell his story, much like he did with Pandora. (submitted by Dom Matthias)
(note from Sianna) Ah don't we all wish for that! If David is listening...nudge him someone!
74. I adored him in Queen of the Damned. I wish he had a book directed at him. There are possibly limitless ideas one can use for the story. Should have a whole 3 book set for him. But seriously I just loved him for his bitter past and yet there was something so adoringly sweet
about him. Bitter sweet thing. Hook people everywhere all the time. (submitted by Jezebel)
